What you will experience

Learn to Make a Traditional Japanese Bento

Together, we’ll prepare a healthy, colorful bento featuring soboro (そぼろ), a beloved Japanese style of seasoned, finely crumbled protein often served over rice and arranged with vibrant ingredients.

You’ll learn:

  • Traditional soboro cooking techniques
  • How to build a balanced, visually beautiful bento
  • Tips for healthy, everyday Japanese home cooking
  • Mindful food preparation practices

All ingredients and materials are provided, just bring yourself.

Move through a Gentle Flow

After cooking, we’ll transition into a 1-hour all-levels yoga-based slow stretching session designed to help you:

  • Ground your energy & release stress
  • Connect breath with movement
  • Cultivate mindfulness before we eat

Beginners are warmly welcome.

Gather & Enjoy Your Bento Together

We’ll close the workshop by sharing the bentos we’ve created. During this relaxed, communal meal we will savor the food, conversation, and calm we’ve cultivated together.

Expect a cozy, welcoming environment and meaningful connection.
